The challenge!

I am so bored this summer, I took a ridiculously bad Mary Sue utauloid, and I am currently completely re-doing the oto. It seems as if the old one was done at complete random, and the samples are spoken rather than sung. I like to think that I'm giving the utau a makeover. It's actually pretty fun, and it distracts me from actually getting real work done.

Ruby's CV VV reclist

This is the reclist I will be using for Lys' FLARE II CV release. VCV will be the normal. I got a new computer in the middle of making FLARE I and lost a lot of my recordings. I'm missing tons of sounds in that one and I hate it, so I'm trying to be as complete with this flare as possible.

Dreams

I have a dream, that one day I will record a voicebank from an entire choir. And it will be beautiful. It would be a Latin VB. I also have a dream that someday my boyfriend will let me make a CV VB for him. And we can have them sing duets and stuff and it would be so great. Unfortunately, none of these will probably ever happen. But hey, a girl can dream, right?

The recording struggle is real.

I have issues with recording utauloids, I'm just going to put that out there. I have no microphone on my acer laptop, other than the tinny, muffled built-in. The answer to this problem? I record all utau stuff on my iPod, email it to myself, convert it to wav, and then cut it up in audacity. This presents another problem: How to record VCV? When I do so, I will have to rehearse the timing. It will be difficult. For these reasons, Lys' VCV release may take a while to be, well, released. I also *may* be able to convince my older brother to let me record a CV voicebank out of his voice. He is not very pro-utau and he sorta hates me, but I'm thinking I can get a few dead presidents to persuade him, if you know what I mean. Though he would never sit through a VCV recording... gah. I'm naming this prospective utau Lumo or Lumen. He would look a lot like Lys, but but only because my brother and I resemble each other greatly in reality. It would be weird to hear his voice sing, though, considering the fact that he's completely tone deaf.

FOS - new male novaloid?

Bored at 3 in the morning last night, I began to record a new CV utau. His name will be FOS, to complement LYS's light theme. I have given no thought to character design at this point. I'm oto-ing right now, but after I finish, I need to record the rest of his VB. I currently only have K, B, D, Z, and vowel sounds. He sounds solid, and a little bit manlier than I had expected. He can go down to the lower G3 range, which I am quite proud of. Will he become a whole other project? I'm not really sure. But I'd like to have him around.
